The course is designed for you to be able to pick and choose the parts that are most useful for you. We recommend that everyone takes a look at Sleep Foundations, just so that you have a good baseline knowledge of the science of sleep and Sleep Foundations is free to access as a preview when you set up your account.

Once you have purchased the course, you can then access the sections covering three of the most common areas where children experience difficulties with sleep, these are bedtimes, night-times and sleep-based anxiety.

If your child has difficulties in just one of those areas, you should start with that section, as this information will form the basis of your plan. However, a problem in one area may have a knock-on effect on other areas. For example, a child whose primary problem is sleep-based anxiety may resist bedtime, or struggle when you leave the room at night. We therefore recommend that you look through the contents of the other sections so that you can combine the relevant resources to support your initial approach.

The video content is divided into 8 films of approximately 10 minutes, totalling just over an hour. There are four e-books providing additional written content and resources.

The course is divided into four sections, covering the main types of sleep difficulties children and families experience. The modular nature of the course means you can pick and choose the sections that are most relevant to you.

We recommend that you allow one week to complete each section, however, all content is available from the point of purchase so you can go at a pace that suits you.

You will learn about the science of sleep and the psychology of how to use cognitive and behavioural techniques to improve your child’s sleep. All our resources come from a positive parenting approach, which will help you to build on your current skills as well as developing new ones.

This course differs from alternatives such as therapist-led support, because it teaches you the science and skills to become your child’s helper. By keeping the support for child “in-house” it means that the person with knowledge (that’s you!) is able to design what will work best for their child and is on hand at the time the support is needed.

The course should take approximately 4 weeks to complete but you have access to the course for 180 days. All the E-books and resources can be downloaded and are yours forever.

We genuinely believe that we have designed a course that will work for everyone, but In the event that this course is not for you, you can email to let us know and we will give you a full refund up to 14 days after the date of purchase.

Yes, you can access your account from any device that connects to the internet.

No, the purchase price of the course gives access to one family. The person who makes the purchase will need to set up a secure account attached to their email address and nominate a password. Other members of your family (e.g. anyone co-parenting) will need to use your account details to log in.

The course is designed with ease of use in mind, which means that it can be accessed remotely from different devices. Despite this, Thinkific, our host platform, monitor multiple logins from the same account. If we discover that the course is being shared illegally, then all access to the course will be permanently removed.

You get a full parent-guided CBT-I course, which covers the basics of sleep science and how to manage the three most common sleep difficulties: bedtimes, sleep-based anxiety, and night-waking. The resources include a combination of videos, e-books and downloadable resources that you can use with your child.

Every child is different, but as part of our focus group when designing the course, both neurotypical and neurodiverse families found our resources helpful.

No, CBT-i is a psychological therapy, and it won’t work on biological issues such as sleep apnoea. Sometimes children with a biological condition such as sleep apnoea also have another sleep problem alongside the sleep apnoea, such as bedtime resistance or sleep-based anxiety. In this situation CBT-i can help with the sleep problems that have a cognitive or behavioural element, leading to an some improvements, but the sleep apnoea.
